How many people flew across the Atlantic before Charles Lindbergh?

Question #109935. Asked by unclerick. (Oct 19 09 5:00 AM)

    ceetee

    According to this reference,
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transatlantic_flight
there were at least six, but only the "firsts" are listed, so in total it might have been mucg greater. After all, does anyone remember the second commander of an Apollo flight to walk on the moon?
