assuming you mean the 2nd President John Adams died on July 4th 1826 not 1829(same day Thomas Jefferson on the 50th anniversary of Independence Day)Adams died 2 hours before Jefferson
John Adams was the last surviving Bounty mutineer on Pitcairn Island.
He acheived this in 1800, when Ned Young died. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Adams_(mutineer)
Midshipman Peter Heywood was convicted of the mutiny and sentenced to death, but later pardoned. He outlived Adams and had a distinguished career in the navy. He was the inspiration for the character Roger Byam in the Nordhoff/Hall book (and later film) "Mutiny on the Bounty" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Heywood

As a follow up to my quiz on folks who died before 21 I thought it would be interesting to investigate a bit to find out who had left us before the age of 30...still very young! I hope this quiz is instructive...enjoy.
The world has lost many great and talented people who never made it to their 40th birthdays. This quiz pays homage to some of those who perished while still in their prime.
