It’s always interesting to observe people’s reaction to the Bible.
Some find it inspirational, others threatening.
Evidently, Sir Ian McKellen falls into the latter category. When he comes across the Good Book in a hotel room, he routinely rips out certain pages.
The openly gay "Lord of the Rings" star looks for pages like the one in a section of Leviticus, which condemns homosexuality.

I think I've missed something here..... Gandalf does nothing sacriligious because there are no gods mentioned in Lord of the Rings. Ian McKellen may or may not be a Christian. If he isn't, then he's merely mutilating a book of mixed history and mythology - which is the way I look at the Bible too. If he is, don't forget that Jesus performed acts regarded as sacriligious at the time too, and so did the disciples.
