I hear there is a county in Colorado named El Paso. If this is the case, which came first, the Colorado county or the Texas city?

El Paso County, Colorado was created in 1871.

El Paso, Texas was founded in 1659 by Spanish Conquistadors who named it El Paso del Norte.

So in conclusion, El Paso, Texas came first.
