Lake agassiz was about 285,000 sq km or 110,000 sq mi in area. Comparatively Caspian sea which is the largest lake currently is about 371,000 sq km or 143,000 sq mi.
Lake Agassiz waslarger than all of the modern great lakes combined and contained more water than contained in all lakes today.
