    Could it be VIA DEL CORSO, flem-ish?

    Originally known as the 'Via Lata', it was later named 'Via del Corso', for the horse races conducted there.

    Via del Corso indeed. Just not sure it is the Corso dei Barbari or dei Berberi? http://idlespeculations-terryprest.blogspot.com/2007/02/carnival-in-rome.html
