Len Grant’s “This City Wall” a 44-metre long montage on Manchester Piccadilly Station’s Platform 12, consisting of 176 photos of the railway arches between Piccadilly and Pomona, another station on the Eccles line in Manchester.

A new bridge carries the Eccles line over the Bridgewater Canal and onto the Pomona Viaduct. This is a 650 metre long composite steel construction with the Pomona stop at the far end. This photograph was taken by Altram during construction work for the Eccles line. Tram passengers have extensive views over this site and along the canals from the Pomona Viaduct.

No luck so far identifying a number for either bridges or arches under bridges between the two stations. But I did find out that the Pomona Valley in California has some freeways with viaducts, and there is a viaduct in Cullen, Scotland that frames views of the temple of Pomona.

I think you did. I'll check next time I'm on Picadilly. (Sorry, I've forgotten how many it is!)

My spell checking Firefox reckons one 'c' in Piccadilly. Must watch that. Everything else says two....
