    What is the correct name in English for the inhabitants of Sodom, a settlement on Whalsay, Shetland?

    		Sodom (known locally as "Sudheim") is a settlement on Whalsay, Shetland. The name is a corruption of the Norse Suðheim meaning "south home".

    I would suggest that the use of Sodomites with its unfortunate connotations could be avoided by referring to them as Sudheimites. I am unable to locate the preferred local term. The issue seems to be generally avoided by using the phrase 'residents of Sodom/Sudheim' - there aren't that many of them!
