    		John 5 is an American rock guitarist from Grosse Pointe, Michigan. His real name is John William Lowery. He received the nickname John 5 when he joined Marilyn Manson to replace guitarist Zim Zum. He currently plays guitar for Rob Zombie.

His stage name was bestowed on him in 1998 when he joined rock group Marilyn Manson as their guitarist, taking over from Zim Zum. He is currently the guitarist for Rob Zombie.
