    What is the maximum speed reached in biathlon or cross country competition?

    		I've been unable to find the maximum speed. Some winning times in the men's 20K are between 52:44.7 and 54:28.

    Finding the muzzle velocity of the bullets used was much easier!

    Dynamit Nobel RWS .22 LR Target 40 grains, Chamber pressure 25600 PSI, Muzzle velocity 1080 ft/sec, muzzle energy 100 ft-lbs,

    Winchester .22 LR standard velocity 40 grains, Muzzle velocity 1150 ft/sec, muzzle energy 117ft-lbs
