Any number of women might fit this description. Eleanor of Aquitaine was the first to come to my mind.
She was the daughter of William X of Aquitaine, wife of Louis VII of France and Henry II of England (not at the same time!) and mother of Richard the Lionhearted and John Lackland. Oh, yes, and queen several times over. :)
