The other one is in Amiens, in France
The Canadian National Vimy Memorial is one of Canada's most important overseas war memorials for those Canadians who gave their lives in the First World War .. the site was designated by the Canadian government as a National Historic Site, one of only two outside Canada, both in France (the other is Beaumont-Hamel NHS in Amiens). In addition to the monument itself, the memorial includes a small museum, an area of preserved trenches and tunnels, and nearby cemeteries of those killed in the battle.

Beaumont-Hamel
Officially opened by British Field Marshal Earl Haig in 1925, the memorial site is one of only two Canadian National Historic Sites located outside of Canada. The memorial site and experience of the Newfoundland Regiment at Beaumont-Hamel has come to represent the Newfoundland First World War experience. As a result, it has become a Newfoundland symbol of sacrifice and a source of identity.

The anniversary of Beaumont-Hamel, July 1st, coincides with Canada Day; Newfoundlanders have learned to incorporate the annual Memorial Day parade and laying of wreaths, as part of the larger national holiday.
