Question #113031. Asked by serpa. (Feb 21 10 10:33 PM)

The Colditz Cock, as it was known, was a glider that was built to escape from Colditz castle, which was known as Oflag IV-C Prisoner of War camp. The glider never flew but was shown as a flying machine in the 1971 TV movie The Birdmen. In 1999 a full scale model was built and launched at RAF Odiham in Hampshire, England.
