    What was the DARPA Red Balloon Challenge?

    		This was a networking challenge. Ten red weather balloons were placed in various locations throughout the continental United States, and it was a race to see who could be the first to locate all 10 of the balloons using modern technology and social networking. The winner got 40 thousand dollars.
