    What color are emu eggs?

    Most Emu eggs are Dark Green. Another website says they are Dark Green to black.

    		The Emu egg is made up a three distinct layers. The outer layer has a distinctive texture and is dark green to almost black in color. When the dark outer layer is carved away, a hard, waxy, teal colored layer is exposed. As this layer is removed, a white layer becomes visible.

    		Beneath the dark outer layer there are layers of blue grey with each successive layer paler than the last, by scraping away layers aboriginal artists produce intricate and very beautiful artworks
