Why did Bilbo not like adventures?

Question #113126. Asked by unclerick. (Feb 28 10 12:43 AM)

If you mean Bilbo Baggins, it was because he was an Hobbit. Hobbits are plain quiet folk and adventures makes one late for dinner.
This is in the first chapter of "The Hobbit" by JRR Tolkien.
