What is the scientific name for water?

H2O because that is how water is scientifically named using its elements on the periodic table. H stands for hydrogen and the two is how many hydrogen atoms there are. The O stands for oxygen and if there is no number after it, it means there is one atom of that element.

Thank you. I was looking for Dihydrogen Monoxide. I wasn't sure if it was the real scientific name.

Wikipedia also says:
"Various names for water are commonly used within the scientific community. Some such names include hydrogen oxide, as well as an alkali name of hydrogen hydroxide, and several acid names such as hydroxic acid, hydroxylic acid, and hydroxilic acid."

In "A Short History of Nearly Everything", Bill Bryson simply calls it "Dihydrogen oxide".
