    		According to a rather suspect-looking wikipedia article:
    'Dr. Bunting had developed a combination of medication and the then new "vanishing cream," designed as a treatment for sunburn. Appropriately enough, it was called "Dr. Bunting's Sunburn Remedy" and samples were always available on the drugstore counter. A customer once tried some of the new concoction on his eczema and with great satisfaction announced to Dr. Bunting: "Your cream knocked my excema." This opened up broad new possibilities for the product and also inspired the name - Noxzema.'
