Their creator had a Poet Laureate as a godparent, their narrator was also the only person to make over 100 appearances on another long running children's show and they dominated the UK singles charts in one particular year. What are the names of these characters, as well as those of the two people and the other show involved?

There was a TV show for kids, I think it was made in the 80s. It wasn't a cartoon. The show had animal characters but they were real actors dressed up in costumes. The only characters I can remember are a cockatiel and some type of cat. Does anyone have any idea what the show could be?

I'm looking for information on an old TV show from the late 60's or early 70's that appeared on public broadcasting. It was referred to as 'experimental TV', and I think the name of the show might have had the word 'strawberry' in it. This show had no characters or plot in the usual sense, but it was mainly about a guy who's stuck in a room or a box and has nothing but a chair. There was very little action and the whole thing was quite surreal. Does anyone else remember this show?
