In terms of casualties,
The Battle of Hsupeng during the Chinese Civil War had 689,000 casualties (including captured)
The Battle of Kalinga in 262BC claims casualties ranging from 100,000 to 1 Million, including civilians.

In terms of noise, try taking the remote from my wife when "Dancing With the Stars" is on....

Leningrad and Stalingrad don't count since they were during WWII.
Also, Hsupeng was a campaign, not a single battle.
The claims from Kalinga seem to top the list on the high-end estimate, but the Battle of Salsu (302,300) would top the list if the Kalinga figures were high-balled.
