    		"War is our profession—Peace is our product."

    "The group's original motto, "War is our profession—Peace is our product," proved offensive to some, however, and the slogan was changed to "Maintaining Peace is our Profession." The Air Force changed the motto once more in 1958 (after an artist found there were too many words to paint on a sign that advertised a reenlistment campaign), choosing the pithier "Peace is our Profession.""
