Are public toilets in Norway free-of-charge?

Question #115079. Asked by Datsmeharse. (Jun 03 10 7:43 PM)

Sadly no, I must say (as a Norwegian citizen). They (mainly) used to be free, it's (mainly) not so anymore. There are still some free public toilets, though. And sometimes it would be OK to use a restaurant's or pub's toilet, although some of them (in heavily touristed areas, for example) also claim a fee.
