    If I recall, there's a word to describe people who travel for culinary sakes (travel to eat or enjoy food). What is this term?

    Culinary tourist or food tourist would be a possibility.

    An off-shoot would be agritourist.

    Gastronome may also be used to describe a lover of food, or one who stduies food and the culinary customs of food from different regions.
