What song, Harry Nilsson's second hit, was rejected for use in the movie 'Midnight Cowboy'?

    Question #115505. Asked by 29CoveRoad. (Jun 24 10 9:25 PM)

Nilsson's next album, Harry (1969), was his first to hit the charts, and also provided a Top 40 single with "I Guess the Lord Must Be in New York City" (written as a contender for the theme to Midnight Cowboy), but used instead in the Sophia Loren movie La Mortadella (1971) (US title: Lady Liberty).
