Here's a reference, not terribly authoritative, for ebola and other haemorrhagic fevers.

    And from the Sci-Fi world:

Radiant Plague/Radiant Death -- Finally, in seven of nine humans, and five of eight hirros and stonies (untreated), constipation and bloating occur as internal organs liquefy, leading ultimately to the victim’s death.

I've seen dengue fever, though not dengue hemorrhagic fever, and nobody's organs liquified. I can't find anything from reputable sources that suggest either dengue fever or ebola would do that.

I think this exists only in fantasy.

    This site is much better.

The virus goes through blood vessels and replicates throughout the body infecting organs as the virus grows. Other animals can carry the virus but the virus hurts only humans and monkeys. The cells die and the viruses move on to continue the cycle killing organs. It hits liver cells harder than it hits others for some reason. The virus in rare cases has been seen to liquify the organs of its host.
