In continuous solitude, with nothing but a pack of Camel cigarettes to entertain her, Leigh-Cheri unveils a secret conspiracy involving redheads, ancient pyramids, Thomas Jefferson, the moon, CHOICE, and the planet of Argon.

I got the impression from the question that the novel was actually set in a cigarette packet. (Well, I remember one from when I was but a cub that was set in a bed cover or quilt. It had a ridged pattern to the fabric with sort of roses and it was in the ridges/grooves that the action took place. Been trying for years to remember what it was called.)
