What is the age of the oldest known ice in Iceland?

"The oldest glacial deposits (ca 4.0-3.8, 3.4 My)." "The first indication of a major ice sheet dates back to about 2.9 My..." I cannot tell what the term "My" means.
"My" most likely means "million years", similar to "mya" which is used for "million years ago".

Or the SI prefix 'mega-' (which also means million) with year. Megayear is in common use (in those circles that don't deal with today and tomorrow...). http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/megayear which lists Myr as the abbreviation.
