    In simple terms, please explain: when a country revalues its currency how are its citizens affected as far as savings are concerned?

    		If the value of a currency goes down, ie, what was worth £1 is now worth 75p, then if savers were to withdraw their money, they would have less money than what they invested.

    If the value of currency went up, then the £1 investment could be worth more than £1.
