    If you loose one pound how many calories have you lost? I guess I mean how many calories are in a pound?

    		Well, that is a bit similar to asking how many hours there are in a square yard, but I know what you're getting at...

    The very simplified answer is that a pound of fat is 3,500 calories as given here.
