    Why is there no light in the freezer compartment?

    		The lack of a light is mainly due to the fact that the extreme difference in temperature between the freezing glass of the bulb and the heated filament would cause the bulb to shatter. However, some modern freezers have begun installing LEDs to prevent this problem.

    		My freezer has a lightbulb. In some freezers it just isn't turned on.
