    		As Breton originated from emigrants from Cornwall taking their language with them, that's not surprising. By the way, the tale about Welsh and Breton being mutually understandable is true. I spent a week in a Welsh speaking village when I was younger (waiting for a boat to an island), and there was a chap from Brittany there who was getting on fine in Breton. (I was talking with him in French...) (By the end of the week, the older local kids could swear in Scouse, and the three youngsters I had with me could swear in Welsh. The kids didn't start to learn English until they were about seven.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breton_language
