Can anyone identify a poem about a young man caring for his father, as his father is old and weakened by illness? There is something about his father with his arms out, swinging the son as a child, possibly comparing the father to a tree, and the words "it's alright Dad" or maybe "it's ok Dad" are repeated several times. I've been trying to find it for years now with no success.

Is it possible that you are looking for the essay by Irish poet Tony Curtis?
If so I have been able to find some of it. It is called "Strongman".
All I can find so far are sites you have to pay a fee to be able to view the poem, so I don't know if you want to do that.
