Hemingway wrote 5 novels that became films:
"The Old Man and the Sea", "A Farewell to Arms", "For Whom the Bell Tolls", "To Have and Have Not", and "The Sun Also Rises".

Other filmizations were of short stories, etc. Another novel, "A Moveable Feast" is in development, though I believe only the rights have been secured by his granddaughter.
Rafael Sabatini wrote at least 7: "The Black Swan", "The Sea Hawk", "Scaramouche", "Captain Blood", "The Tavern Night", "Bardelys the Magnificant", and "Columbus". Several others might qualify -- IDMB lists one short story incorrectly as a novel -- but for answering the question, it's Sabatini.
