Who developed assistive devices to help those with mobility issues?

    Question #117791. Asked by Jazmee27. (Sep 26 10 12:00 PM)

    Arpeggionist

Depends which devices. Walking sticks, for instance, were already in use in ancient Israel (in Genesis 32 Jacob mentions, among other things, that he crossed the Jordan "with only my walking stick"). Electric wheelchairs though, it stands to reason, were invented somewhat more recently than 4,500 years ago.

Here is a list of links to different sites that deal with assistive devices and technology. "These are tools, products, or types of equipment that help you perform activities."
