Is anyone familiar with a phrase like "three drops in a square"? It may be a measure of how much rain must fall to call an end to work under some kind of work rules. I just heard this and regular web search has not turned up anything.

I've heard of the phrase. It's related to a square, but not totally about it. There's a game "three drops in a line," that is played in a square.

In this version, when the bottom row is full, the whole board drops down a row!

    Three In A Line Rules
•Point the cursor over the row you wish to drop your piece in.
•Left click to drop your piece
•When you can connect three pieces vertically, horizontally or diagonally you win

Thanks for the reply. I'll check with the friend who remembers it, but I think I would like to ask for other possibilities.

Someone at work tells me he has heard that there are 15 different wild species of bird in the UK named after their call. I have a few in mind, but can anyone supply the full set?

Which 19th Century operatic composer was responsible for a work that shares something with one of the best known Monty Python sketches? The opera is rarely performed, and the composer is best known for one work from which almost everyone in the Western world will recognise one tune, even though they may never have heard of him.

It's been suggested that the model for this rather brazen work of art was a certain noblewoman, but we will probably never know. What we do know is that the work got the artist into trouble with a famously-authoritative religious body in his homeland and also cost him his job. What's more, when his nation belatedly honored the work in an unusually public manner, another country responded with outrage, thereby interfering with some people's correspondence. What is the work in question?
