    Was TV personality Chuck Woolery ever in a band called Avant Garde?

    		Chuck Woolery originally started out wanting to be a musician. He formed a pop band named The Avant Garde, and in 1968 had a hit song called Naturally Stoned which reached #40 on the Billboard charts. The group disbanded shortly thereafter.

    		Chuck Woolery spent some time as a wine consultant and also working in sales at Pillsbury. Eager to do more with music, he went to Nashville and formed The Avant Garde which had the big hit "Naturally Stoned." After he went to LA, he served as host of "Wheel of Fortune" for seven years.
