Warren Beatty
On her official website it is explained that the song is a little about Beatty and Mick Jagger sings back-up

rumored to be written about everyone from James Taylor to Mick Jagger, but more likely a joke aimed at actor Warren Beatty

Carly Simon has never said who it is about, or if it is about anyone. She has said it's not about Warren Beatty

I checked out the web site. In 1989 the preamble to a Carly Simon quote says she acknowledges the song was a little about Beatty. A composite of three men. She does not say that in the actual quote. In 2000 she is quoted as saying, well, not at all and then maybe, a little bit, when asked if it was about Beatty. I think it was a polite and clever way to be evasive about the question. Also in 2000 she was quoted as saying it certainly wasn't about Warren. Since 1973 to the present she has been consistent in saying she well never tell who it is about.

I read a recent article that she refused to name the person, and auctioned the right to hear the name, provided the winner signed a contract to keep it secret. The secret remains between the two of them, according to what I read.
