in the next two thousand years maybe earlier. Believe it or not but the melting of the polar ice caps because of global warming will speed up the coming of the next ice age. It seems that when the earth warms up the ice caps will melt and this will cause more water in the oceans which will effect the stability of the earths mantle. volcanoes will errupt endlessly at all parts of the earth which will cause a cloud of dust to appear in the atmosphere. this will cool the world down and cause more ice. this sudden change will cause a shift in the earths mantle which will cause the volcanoes to erupt further blocking the sun and further causing extreme shifts in the worlds temperature. Then as the world is mainly white from ice and snow the sun will reflect off the earth and radiate back in space which will cause further cooling of the earth. and it will be in this cooling cycle for years ironically caused by the warming of the planet.
