OK, there was a request for a question that isn't a straight google. I remember this event, but I can find only one source for it. Did it really happen? I think so. Alphabetically becoming a Hindu, an icon, a knight, and a NORAD volunteer, their dirty laundry was fabulously sold off in 3-inch squares. Whose dirty laundry? and where* was it soiled? *geographical, place on a map

A Denver hotel sold the Beatles' bed linen to a consotrium that marketed it in 3-inch squares with a certificate of authenticity.

Harrison's the Hindu, Lennon's the Icon, McCartney's the Knight, and Starr's the Norad vol.

Or, George is the Hindu, John's the Icon, Paul's the Knight, and Ringo's the Norad vol.
It's funny neither first or last name's overlap alphabetically.

    Too easy!

My grampa thought the people who bought the sheets from the hotels were smart and the ones who bought the little squares were, well... not very smart, to put it nicely.

The Beatlemania site copied from a googlebook. I won't give the URL because it would reach from here to Denver. Just google "beatles denver bed linen squares".
