No dd, Jefferson (mostly) wrote the Declaration of Independence. He was not at the Constitutional Convention (I believe he was in France at the time), and James Madison contributed the most to the writing of the Constitution.

Madison made a major contribution to the ratification of the Constitution by writing, with Alexander Hamilton and John Jay, the Federalist essays. In later years, when he was referred to as the "Father of the Constitution," Madison protested that the document was not "the off-spring of a single brain," but "the work of many heads and many hands."

Who was the "Father of the Constitution"?

As a leader in the first Congresses he drafted many basic laws and was responsible for the first ten amendments to the Constitution, and thus he is known as the "Father of the Bill of Rights." Who is he?

Can anyone identify a poem about a young man caring for his father, as his father is old and weakened by illness? There is something about his father with his arms out, swinging the son as a child, possibly comparing the father to a tree, and the words "it's alright Dad" or maybe "it's ok Dad" are repeated several times. I've been trying to find it for years now with no success.
