If you thought St. Moritz was all glitz and glamour then think again. Although the town is famed for it’s fine hotels, shopping and scenery, it is also the home of one of the most nail biting rides in the world, the Cresta Run. http://www.cresta-run.com/html/smtc.cfm This and other references give the date of the founding of the SMTC as 1888, 1885 and 1884, none of which seem particularly old to me. The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club for instance was founded in 1868 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_England_Lawn_Tennis_and_Croquet_Club but I feel sure there are many other even older sports clubs.
