    In WWII, several attempts were made to escape from the German POW camp at Colditz Castle. Dutch Lieutenant Oscar Drijber managed to escape with Major C. Giebel. What was the Dutch major's first name?

    		It was probably Conrad Giebel.

    Sources that deal with the 20.9.1941 escape mention that C. Giebel was a member of the KNIL, the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army which mainly fought Japan in the Indonesian front
