    What is sabermetrics?

    		SABR stands for the Society for American Baseball Research. Bill James was a founding member of the society. Sabermetrics uses quantitative data to evaluate and rank baseball players and teams, past and present. It is used a lot in salary arbitration for professional baseball players.
