Who was the very first leader of Germany, who was German, after WWII; was that person a former Nazi?

Of course that was technically West Germany (although the name "Federal Republic of Germany was the same). The first President of the unified Germany was Richard von Weizsacker (1990), and there is no evidence to suggest he was a Nazi.
Also, the head of state for Germany is the President, not the Chancellor (as Adenaur was). That would mean that Theodor Heuss was the first President of the Federal Republic of Germany (1949). Heuss was a member of the German Democratic Party, not the National Socialist Party.

Good extra info, but Head of State isn't always the 'Leader' of the country. The Queen is Head of State in the UK, but she is not the Leader of the country.

So by that definition, especially with multi-cameral government, there could be multiple leaders, as is the case in the UK, US, Germany, and many others. So I guess the question needs to be more specific, like asking for the Chancellor or President.
