Did George Washington actually command troops while he was President of America?

Question is broad. All American Presidents are Commanders-in-Chief of the US Federal Armed Forces as set forth in the Constitution. Washington commanded troops to action from the Presidential office but was not on the field of battle with them. This is the main occaision during his presidency where this happened: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whiskey_Rebellion Washington was the commander-in-chief, but Gen. "Lighthorse" Lee commanded the troops on the ground. I don't know of any other occaision when a US President actually became a field commander of troops while in office. Hope this helps.
