    Who undertook the task of clearing the battlefield of Waterloo in 1815 ?

    		The task was mainly left to people who lived in the area of Waterloo. They could make money from this, for teeth were extracted from 50,000 soldiers, before they were put into burial pits, and sold on to make dentures. The bodies of wounded who later died and were piled up outside Brussels were burned.
