A couple of us have already answered this. I think Lake Louise is the highest community in Canada at 5033 feet. The question askes for a city, so I thought Banff or Jasper. Banff is at 4540 feet and I couldn't find out the elevation of Jasper. However, Banff is a town, not a city. Someone else answered Rossland at 3410 feet. Rossland is a city. On the city of Kimberley's web site, they claim to be the 2nd highest city in Canada at 3600 feet. Airdrie is a city and claims to be the highest one in Canada, but they do not give the elevation and I couldn't find it anywhere either. I'm going to phone them tomorrow and find out what it is. Elkford is a town, and with an elevation of 4265 feet is lower than Banff (and Jasper I would think.) We don't know if Marie is using the word city in the broad sense, for any type of community, or as a real city. However, these are the stats we have all come up with. Highest point in Canada, Mount Logan in the Yukon Highest community in Canada, Lake Louise, Alberta at 5033 feet Highest town in Canada, Banff, Alberta at 4540 feet (could be Jasper, elevation unconfirmed) Second highest town in Canada, Jasper, Banff or Elkford at 4265 feet Highest city in Canada, Airdrie, Alberta (elevation unconfirmed) Second highest city in Canada Kimberley, British Columbia at 3600 or 3662 feet Possibly the third highest city in Canada, Rossland at 3410 feet Sorry for such a long answer, but a lot of information was given. What ever you need it for Marie I hope it helps, and it was definitely a team effort!

l3i7l says: AIRDRIE, Alberta, claims it is the highest city in Canada. - but I cannot find the elevation listed anywhere. KIMBERLY, B.C., also claims the distinction with an elevation of 3662 feet. At 1300 meters (4265 feet) ELKFORD has the highest elevation of any TOWN in Canada. Elkford is located along the Elk River between two mountain ranges immediately east of the Continental Divide in southeastern British Columbia, Canada.
