    What was the famous "black cat" incident in major league baseball in 1969?

    		On September 9, 1969, a black cat walked behind the Cubs' on-deck circle while the Cubs were playing a game at Shea Stadium in New York.

    Some superstitious Cubs fans blame their horrific September collapse which cost them the pennant on the incident with the cat.
