What Broadway musical's lyrics from 1957 was Stephen Sondheim's first introduction to Broadway?

West Side Story (1957) was his first published/performed works on Broadway, but he actually got his break (kinda) by writing the music and lyrics to 'Saturday Night' (1954). Unfortunately, 'Saturday Night' was shelved until 1997, but Leonard Berstein (musical composer of 'Story') had heard it and quickly hired him to write the lyrics to 'West Side Story'. Without 'Saturday Night', he might not have ever had his "break" in the industry.
