    How many centuries is it from 401 B.C. 101 A.D.?

    		401 BC to 101 AD spans 5 complete centuries but is part of 7 centuries using BC/AD notation. 401 BC would be part of the 5th century BC which is from 500 BC - 401 BC and 101 AD would be part of the 2nd century AD which spans from 101 AD - 200 AD. In this system, there is no year zero.

    		It is more precisely 501 years, as there are 401 years between 401BC and 1BC. The next year is 1AD, and another 100 years gets you to 101AD.
